Job Description

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Slough

Salary: £95 per day

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in our client schools in Slough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to students with emotional and behavioural difficulties to enable them to access the curriculum effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assess, evaluate, and report on pupil progress to ensure students receive the best possible support.
  • Deliver activities on a 1:1 and small group basis to support students with special educational needs.
  • Support teachers in the classroom to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of SEN support experience in a school, childcare, or care setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work with students with a range of needs.
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
  • Be able to provide two professional school-based references.
