Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Slough

Salary: £95 per day

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in our client schools in Slough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to students with emotional and behavioural difficulties to enable them to access the curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assess, evaluate, and report on pupil progress to inform teaching and learning
  • Support students with ASC and SEMH needs in a 1:1 and small group setting
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • At least one year of SEN support experience in a school, childcare, or care setting
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
  • Be able to provide two professional school-based references
