Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local school in Hillingdon. The successful candidate will provide support to children with special educational needs, ensuring their holistic progress and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement behaviour modification interventions to address emotional or mental health needs.
  • Support the progress of individuals and small groups through emotional and behavioural support.
  • Deliver programmes of specific intervention, such as mental and emotional health, self-esteem, and anger-management.
  • Work with students to improve punctuality, attendance, and ease their return to school after prolonged absence.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching, and senior staff to implement agreed interventions and programmes of work.
  • Work with individuals and groups of students, having received prior information from the appropriate Head of Year.
  • Create a calm and working atmosphere, applying whole school expectations assertively and fairly.
Requirements:
  • Child workforce only DBS on the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous SEND experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
