Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team in Abergavenny, providing exceptional care for children in need.

About the Role
  • As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of young people, promoting their independence, and wellbeing.
  • You will support children in day-to-day activities, attend weekends away, holidays, and trips, and provide emotional and practical support.

Salary: £13.76 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Responsibilities
  • Promote independence and self-care among children
  • Protect children from risks to health and welfare
  • Support children with challenging behaviors, utilizing effective strategies to minimize them
  • Ensure safety by maintaining accurate care plans and guidelines
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working with children or in Social Care
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
