About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Hartford Care. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supervise and lead the care team, ensuring that residents receive the best possible care and that the team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each resident, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture, promoting a sense of community and camaraderie among colleagues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in care and support.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience as a Care Assistant in residential care, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Completed an L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care, with a strong understanding of care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a strong commitment to promoting the dignity and well-being of residents.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
