We are seeking an Education and Welfare Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality support to pupils with SEMH needs in our referral unit.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or LSA, with a focus on supporting students with SEMH needs and promoting their social, emotional, and mental health.

As an Education and Welfare Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to develop and implement targeted support plans for pupils with SEMH needs, and provide individualized support to help students achieve their goals.

The estimated salary for this role is £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement targeted support plans for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Provide individualized support to help students achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver lessons and manage student behavior
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and engagement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • Focus on supporting students with SEMH needs and promoting their social, emotional, and mental health
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
