Learning and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Adviser to join our team at South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver corporate induction programs to ensure a consistent high-quality onboarding experience for new colleagues.
- Develop and deliver learning face-to-face and virtual workshops, eLearning, quick guides, and videos for existing colleagues.
- Work closely with the People Services and Digital teams to manage learning and development requests from employees and departments.
- Track mandatory learning initiatives and ensure compliance with legal and organisational requirements.
- Lead and manage various L&D projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate the development and updating of learning content in line with current policies and regulations.
- Prepare regular reports on learning and development activities, including participation rates, completion of mandatory training, and the effectiveness of programs.
- Previous experience in a Learning and Development role, with a proven track record of delivering face-to-face and virtual workshops.
- Skilled in managing Learning experience/management platforms and content.
- Proficient in the design of eLearning and the use of authoring tools.
- Good project management skills and experience managing and delivering corporate induction programs.
- Fantastic customer service skills and a strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
