Consultant in Learning Disabilities Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Learning Disabilities team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to adults with learning disabilities who have complex physical and emotional health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver care in collaboration with service users and their families/carers
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to address and support the health, psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs of adults with learning disabilities
- Develop and implement effective care plans to promote recovery and improve outcomes for service users
- Work closely with other professionals in the Learning Disability service and across the Trust to ensure seamless care provision
- Contribute to the development of the Learning Disability service and participate in quality improvement initiatives

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice
- Certificate of Completion of Training in Learning Disability Psychiatry (Higher trainees should be within six months of attainment at the time of the interview) or CESR equivalent
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligibility for inclusion
- Section 12 (2) MHA 1983 approved
- Approved Clinician (AC) status/eligibility to be on the AC register
