About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic interventions to Children and Young People with Learning Disabilities, autism, or both, who present with behaviours that challenge and mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for enhancing the support that is already provided by involved services, with the key aims being contribution to identification and management of risk, multiagency planning, training and psychoeducation, as well as delivering highly specialist assessment and intervention, including development of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) plans. The post holder will also be responsible for the supervision of junior team members.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have significant post-qualification experience of working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) or Child Mental Health related field. They will also have recognised experience of working within an environment where evidence-based interventions have been delivered. The successful applicant will be required to undertake formal and informal clinical risk assessments and risk management planning, as well as undertaking mental health assessments. IT skills, including using databases, Microsoft Office and clinical systems, are also essential.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and systemic team that works flexibly across the LD-CAMHS and CAMHS teams.
