About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our CYPMHS team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions to children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or both, who present with challenging behaviors and mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement highly specialist assessment and intervention plans, including the development of PBS plans.
  • Contribute to the identification and management of risk, multi-agency planning, training, and psychoeducation.
  • Supervise junior team members and provide clinical supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with other services to enhance the support provided to children and young people with autism.
Requirements
  • Core profession (Social Work, Nurse, Allied Health Professional) with professional registration with a recognized national body.
  • Nationally recognized post-qualification, continuous professional development (CPD) related to the core profession.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of specialist therapeutic approaches, such as CBT and Family Therapy.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or both.
  • Experience of inter-agency working and writing, implementing, and evaluating care/treatment plans.
