About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our CYPMHS team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions to children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or both, who present with challenging behaviors and mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver highly specialist assessment and intervention, including development of PBS plans, to support children and young people with complex needs.
  • Contribute to identification and management of risk, multiagency planning, training, and psychoeducation.
  • Supervise junior team members and provide clinical supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with other services to enhance support and provide a proactive approach to risk management.
Requirements
  • Core profession (Social Work, Nurse, Allied Health Professional) with professional registration with a recognized national body.
  • Nationally recognized post-qualification, continuous professional development (CPD) related to the core profession.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of specialist therapeutic approaches, such as CBT and Family Therapy.
  • Experience of inter-agency working, child protection, and writing, implementing, and evaluating care/treatment plans.
