Job Title: Graduate School Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graduate School Supervisor to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Graduate School Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the formulation, treatment, and management plans for schools, parents, children, and young people being supported by our Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the formulation, treatment, and management plans for schools, parents, children, and young people being supported by EMHPs.
  • Undertake accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
  • Through case management and supervision, escalate cases where the level of need becomes beyond scope or more severe.
  • Provide a range of information and support to schools for evidence-based psychological treatments.
  • Provide joint specialist mental health assessments and interventions for schools, parents, children, and young people with EMHP supervisees.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a graduate training (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy) and eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with evidence-based approaches to low mood, anxiety, and behavior problems with children and young people.
  • Experience of undertaking delegated leadership tasks and managing trainee staff effectively.
Desirable:
  • Experience working with or in educational settings.
