About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Careers Advisor to join our team at PeoplePlus. As a Careers Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to adults from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate various opportunities, including learning, career paths, and employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of learners and create SMART action plans to support their career development.
  • Provide high-quality advice and guidance to adults, helping them overcome potential barriers and make informed decisions about their future career paths.
  • Work collaboratively with local Restart centers, community venues, and employers to deliver career guidance services.
  • Utilize video calls, telephone calls, and face-to-face interactions to provide support and guidance to learners.
  • Meet individual and team performance targets, with targets set, monitored, and measured by the Department for Education.
Essential Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • IAG Qualification Level 2 or above, with a willingness to complete our fully funded Level 3/4 IAG qualification once in role.
  • Level 3 qualification in Careers Information & Advice (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in relation to teaching, presenting, financial performance, and target monitoring.
  • Knowledge and experience of ESFA and ESF funding requirements would be beneficial.
  • Substantial vocational experience within the IAG sector would be advantageous.
  • A full UK driving license and own vehicle are essential.
