The Role


We are seeking a skilled Careers Information and Support Specialist to join our team at PeoplePlus. As a Careers Advisor, you will provide tailored support to adults from diverse backgrounds, helping them explore opportunities in learning, career paths, and employment. This role involves managing a caseload of learners, creating SMART action plans, and offering high-quality advice and guidance.


You will be based in the Kent region, working from local Restart centres, community venues, employer settings, or remotely using video calls or telephone calls. A driving license and own transport are required for this position.

This is an outcome-based contract, which supports learners in achieving learning and job outcomes defined by the Department for Education. You will be required to work towards and meet individual and team performance targets, with targets set, monitored, and measured.


Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • IAG Qualification Level 2 or above is essential, with a willingness to complete our fully funded official Level 3/4 IAG qualification once in role.
  • Ideally Level 3 qualification in Careers Information & Advice (or equivalent)
  • Excellent use of IT, particularly in relation to teaching, presenting, financial performance, and target monitoring.
  • Knowledge and experience of ESFA and ESF funding requirements would be beneficial.
  • Substantial vocational experience within the IAG sector would be beneficial.
  • Full UK Driving License and own vehicle.
