About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and motivating a production team, ensuring a quality, on-time, on-budget publication of a portfolio of products. This will involve effective management of stakeholders, individual product allocation, and driving the efficiency and optimization of production tools, systems, and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day supervision, support, and line management of a team of Production Editors (up to 5)
- Assisting the Production Operations Manager in managing, motivating, and developing a high-performing production team
- Effective management of stakeholders
- Effective management of individual product allocation
Requirements:
- Expert understanding of production processes, procedures, and systems, including editorial skills, digital pre-press technology, etc.
- Excellent time/task/project management and organizational skills
- Previous managerial experience
- Highly numerate and excellent communication skills
- Flexible and proactive
- Able to act on own initiative
- Able to communicate effectively to stakeholders at different levels in the company
- Collaborative approach to team supervision
- Ability to track progress against KPIs
- Ability to use work in progress data to proactively manage resources
What We Offer:

Flexible Working:
This role is open to candidates on a remote basis anywhere in the UK or US. Applicants in the UK can also work from our Bristol office on a hybrid or permanent basis.
