Job Overview

NRL is seeking a Graduate Materials Engineer to work in the Kingston Upon Thames area.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy from a top UK university. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of metallurgical principles and their application in the Oil & Gas industry.

The successful candidate will assist in selecting appropriate materials for various oil and gas applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Selection: Selecting materials that meet industry standards and project requirements.
  • Failure Analysis: Investigating material failures to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Corrosion Management: Developing and implementing corrosion management strategies to enhance equipment longevity and reliability.
  • Quality Control: Participating in quality control processes, including material testing, inspection, and certification.
  • Research & Development: Contributing to R&D projects aimed at improving material performance and developing new metallurgical solutions.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical support to engineering teams, project managers, and clients regarding metallurgical issues.
