Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at The King co in Cambridge. This permanent position offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accounts Preparation: Undertake moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including tax computations, and ensure timely completion.
  2. Monthly Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns as required.
  3. Team Review: Review team members' work and own tasks before passing them to the senior for review.
  4. Client Queries: Resolve client queries with minimal input from seniors or managers using initiative.
  5. Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to junior colleagues to support their development.
Requirements:
  1. Professional Qualifications: Working towards ACA/ACCA qualifications.
  2. Experience: Experience of preparing sets of accounts in an accountancy practice.
  3. Client Facing: Client-facing experience is essential.
  4. VAT Knowledge: Up-to-date working knowledge of VAT requirements.
  5. Software Skills: Proficient in using Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Online.
