About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at DO & CO. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Manager in the daily running of the office and conduct daily goods-in tasks as outlined by the QA Supervisor and the Manager.
  • Carry out Hygiene Audits and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly GMP Audits, raising non-conformances and following up on them.
  • Implement and monitor PRP, OPRP, and HACCP plans for the entire operations, report deviations, and take corrective actions.
  • Verify all HACCP paperwork to ensure it is up to date.
  • Monitor CCPs and temperature records.
  • Oversee the maintenance of traceability systems.
  • Support airline-specific verification checks in the flight assembly area, dry stores area, and in-bound area.
  • Prepare samples for finished product microbiological testing and taste.
  • Oversee and check all chillers and dry stores within the production and warehouse, including FIFO, batch codes, expiry dates, and allergen segregation.
  • Verify team members' personal hygiene in high-risk and high-care areas.
  • Provide regular Quality Assurance reports to enable corrective actions and illustrate the effectiveness of the company's food safety and food quality control measures.
  • Train and develop production staff on food safety and food quality to equip them to maintain food safety standards within the Operations Department.
  • Investigate customer complaints and submit detailed reports to QA Supervisors and QA Manager.

  • English – excellent (written & spoken).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precise record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement, and track more efficient processes.
  • Build strong relationships with other departments, including operational departments, to integrate with and understand the true bases of efficiency and unit synergies.
  • Clear and engaging communicator, strong written and verbal English, and will use a variety of methods to keep the DO & CO Family well informed.
  • Confident and flexible in the way you think, making decisions efficiently and handling change to ensure everything we do is right for our partners and the DO & CO family.
  • Flexibility in regards to your work availability is essential, as the Operation runs 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Right to work in the UK.
