Job Title: SEN Assistant Case Officer

Job Summary:

The SEN Assistant Case Officer will provide administrative support to the SEND team, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of services for children and families. This role will involve managing caseloads, developing and reviewing planning, and commissioning services to maximize the life chances of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the effective administration of statutory assessments and placements under the Education Act 1996 and Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Report to the SEND Senior Case Officer and provide administrative support to the team.
  • Manage caseloads to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children, young people, and their families.
  • Develop and review planning, performance, and commissioning services to reduce costs and maximize life chances.
  • Uphold the council's customer standards through respectful and clear communication.
