About the Role

Kennedys is seeking a skilled professional to join our Risk & Compliance department as a legal file auditor. This role will provide expert information, advice, and guidance to the Firm on professional responsibility, risk, and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of the annual lawyer file audit program.
  • Timely delivery of high-quality written audit reports and assist in monitoring and completing corrective actions.
  • Contribute to existing and future internal audit processes across the UK and global offices.
  • Discuss internal audit requirements and audit findings with fee earners, team leaders, and partners throughout the business.
  • Assist in delivering an effective audit process relevant to the ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditation for all UK and overseas offices.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of existing internal audit processes within the relevant audit system.
  • Participate in due diligence processes where it relates to internal or external audit activity.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in legal file management.
  • Current or previous supervisory, peer review experience, or completion of file audit would be ideal.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven organizational skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
