Job Summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Community Care Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, complaints, and requests for information and services. They will assist customers in understanding and completing relevant documents, forms, applications, and registrations, including addressing special needs such as disability, translation, and interpretation requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process referrals and apply agreed eligibility criteria
  • Accurately record detailed referrals, specifying clients' needs
  • Work within agreed procedures, particularly those related to alleged safeguarding adults
  • Provide information and advice to members of the public from diverse backgrounds, requiring care across a range of client groups, including older people, physical disability, and occupational therapy
  • Liaise with other departmental and non-departmental services and partner agencies as required
  • Signpost members of the public to access other services where appropriate
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of safeguarding adults
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
