About the Role

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing is a leading healthcare recruitment and care provider, specialising in delivering high-quality support services to individuals with Complex Needs and Social Care requirements.

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in the Southend-on-Sea area, who will provide companionship and support to a male service user in his early 30s with Autism.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building a strong relationship with the service user, promoting independence and companionship through daily tasks and activities, such as swimming, art clubs, and community outings.

The role requires effective communication and empathy, as the service user has limited verbal communication and requires prompts for personal care.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK care experience, with Autism and Learning Disabilities experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to provide the correct compliance documents, including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
