Electrical Systems Engineer Role

At WAE, we're accelerating the advantage and impact of our clients through innovative engineering and technology. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you'll be part of our rapidly expanding Electrical Department, contributing to sustainable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop requirements documentation for vehicle, system, and component levels.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to deliver components or systems to projects.
  • Assist with project build and fault-finding activities.
  • Create system architecture diagrams and circuit drawings to support electrical design.
  • Participate in hazard analysis, risk management, and DFMEA for components and systems as required.
  • Define and execute system test and validation activities for products and rigs.
  • Support virtual and physical builds for components and vehicles.
  • Prepare and present reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Represent WAE in technical and project reviews with customers.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and other departments.
  • Understand and work to WAE, customer, industry, and legislative standards.

Requirements:
  • Recent experience in electrical integration within the automotive or autosport industries.
  • An engineering qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., HNC, Degree, Degree Apprenticeship, Masters) or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of On Vehicle networks.
  • Ability to work flexibly to strict deadlines.
