Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work one-to-one with a child who requires SEMH/Behaviour Support. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping the child succeed academically and personally.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and experience in supporting young people with challenging behaviour.
- A graduate with a 2:2 or above in any subject (Education, Psychology, or related fields are advantageous).
- A proven track record of supporting children with SEN needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £83-£95 per day, dependent on experience, qualifications, and training. This role also offers the potential for long-term temporary contracts, with opportunities for permanent positions.
Job Description
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide one-to-one support to the child, helping them to overcome their SEMH/Behaviour challenges. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support the child's academic and personal development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Psychology).
- Experience working with children with SEN needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location and Working Hours
This role is based in Windsor, with full-time hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. The school has excellent transport links, making it easily accessible by public transport.
