Network Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Network Connect Inc. This field-based position requires traveling throughout the UK to upgrade and relocate HFC amplifiers and Telco connections while minimizing customer impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upgrade and commission network amplifiers on HFC networks.
  • Identify noise ingress on the network using specified test equipment.
  • Use CATV toning to identify individual active customer drop cables and take corrective measures to reduce noise.
  • Conduct self-audits to ensure all works meet technical and operational quality standards.
  • Work efficiently and maintain a clean environment, being polite to customers.
  • Conduct daily checks of vehicles and plant, ensuring they are safe to use and calibrated.
Requirements
  • Ability to take direction from supervisor/management and execute works efficiently.
  • Proactive in resolving engineering obstacles, conferring with supervisor.
  • Customer-focused with a professional attitude.
  • Flexibility to undertake works outside core working hours.
  • Full driving license.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with training.
