Network Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Network Connect Inc. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for upgrading and commissioning network amplifiers on HFC networks, identifying noise ingress, and conducting daily checks of vehicles and plant to ensure they are safe to use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upgrade and commission network amplifiers on HFC networks
  • Identify noise ingress using specified test equipment
  • Conduct daily checks of vehicles and plant to ensure they are safe to use
  • Work efficiently and tidily, maintaining a clean environment and being polite to customers
Requirements
  • Ability to take direction from supervisor/management and execute works in an efficient manner
  • Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, conferring with supervisor
  • Customer-focused with a professional outward attitude
  • Flexibility to undertake works outside core working hours
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with training

This is a field-based position that requires traveling throughout the UK to upgrade and possibly relocate HFC amplifiers and Taps and Telco connections while minimizing customer impact. Prior experience in the cable TV industry would be an advantage, but we would be happy to provide all necessary training to enthusiastic, professional, customer-oriented candidates coming from other backgrounds.
