We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accessories Designer to join our team at Make It Happen Recruitment. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish accessories products that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and design new accessories products, including bags, jewelry, and other related items.
- Collaborate with our design manager to set trend direction and ensure our products are on-trend and competitive.
- Work with major retailers to design and develop products, focusing on bags and jewelry but also exploring opportunities in tech, gifting, kitchen, and beauty.
- Develop unique and creative ranges from initial mood board to final product, using CAD software and Adobe Illustrator.
- Draw up technical design packs and send them to suppliers for production.
- Manage the product development process, tracking progress and ensuring timely delivery.
- Take ownership of your accounts and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including wholesale account managers and production teams.
- Flag and resolve technical design queries.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a design role, preferably at a brand or retailer.
- Creative with a commercial eye, able to balance aesthetics with business needs.
- Strong skills in print and graphic design.
- Understanding of the design and development process, with experience working with Far East suppliers.
