Child and Family Services Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced practitioner to join our Intensive Family Support Service as an Intensive Family Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will work intensively with a small group of families with diverse and complex needs, providing practical support, modelling skills, and walking alongside families to make and sustain changes.
Key Responsibilities- Work with families to identify and build on strengths within family systems to build resilience and skills.
- Provide holistic support packages to families, working alongside social workers and other partners to address key worries such as neglect, poor home conditions, and safety and wellbeing of children.
- Work flexibly and quickly adapt to fast-changing circumstances, providing high-quality, outcomes-focused support to children and their families.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with families, social workers, and other partners to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting families.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the service's practice model, ensuring that it is grounded in the same values, beliefs, theories, and approaches.
- Be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant area, such as health and social care, social work, etc.
- Have experience of supporting families and a strong understanding of how a relational, strengths-based approach can empower families to build and sustain change.
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, outcomes-focused support to children and their families.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate a high level of motivation and work independently, within timescales, and often balancing conflicting priorities.
