We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Reed Education. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) by providing high-quality tutoring to pupils in primary and secondary schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality tutoring to pupils in primary and secondary schools, either face-to-face or online.
  • Work with pupils in small groups or one-to-one settings, adapting your approach to meet the needs of each individual.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the National Curriculum and meet the needs of pupils.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for pupils.
  • Contribute to the development of our team's professional skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Recent experience of working in primary, secondary, or SEN schools, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Experience in delivering tutoring sessions to pupils in various age groups, including EYFS, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, teachers, and other stakeholders.
