About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Specialist to join our team in Blackpool. As an IDVA, you will work with victims at high risk of serious harm through domestic violence, supporting them to keep themselves safe, understand their rights and options, and navigate the Criminal Justice process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans for high-risk victims
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to develop multi-agency plans to support victims effectively
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to victims, empowering them to make informed decisions about their safety and well-being

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse
  • Experience working with victims at high risk of harm (preferably)
  • IDVA accreditation or willingness to work towards one
  • Excellent communication and empathy skills
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
