KS1 Teaching Assistant (ASC) Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a Year 1 class. The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil who requires 1:1 support and will also work with other pupils with ASC in the class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with ASC, helping them to manage their emotions and behaviors.
  • Work with the class teacher to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with ASC.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring that the needs of pupils with ASC are met.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure that the pupil's needs are met.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school community, working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a supportive and inclusive environment.
