About Aberlour Guardianship Scotland

We are a specialist statutory service providing Independent Child Trafficking Guardians (ICTG) to unaccompanied asylum seeking children, victims of trafficking and vulnerable youngsters.

Our mission is to empower young people to navigate complex processes and thrive in their new life in Scotland. We work tirelessly to ensure they receive the support and love they need to reach their potential.

As a Guardian with Aberlour, you will play a vital role in advocating for these young people, helping them understand the systems they encounter and access the help they require. Your dedication and compassion will make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.

A Day in the Life of a Guardian

You will work closely with our team to provide individualized support to each child or young person, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs. This may involve regular check-ins, accompanying them to appointments, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure seamless care.

Your 37.5 hour working week may include evenings and weekends, but every moment counts as you strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of our young clients.

What We're Looking For

We seek candidates with a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 8 and experience working with vulnerable children and young people. A good understanding of the asylum system and inter-agency partnership working is also essential.

In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect a range of benefits, including generous annual leave, an excellent employer pension scheme and discounts across various retailers. Our commitment to equality and diversity ensures that every employee feels valued and supported in their role.
