Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Running nurse-led clinics for treatments and education, including face-to-face, video, and telephone consultations.
  • Providing psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Offering expert advice and clinical practice to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Developing and delivering specialist education and training programs for healthcare staff.
  • Working collaboratively with clinical colleagues to develop and improve services and quality of care.
  • Effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participating in audit, quality initiatives, and research activities to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Managing and maintaining medication and equipment stock.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Appropriate NMC registration.
  • Diploma or degree in nursing.
  • NMC recognised mentorship qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional education or development in the area of immunology and allergy.

Desirable criteria include a degree, recognised teaching qualification, post-registration experience in immunology and allergy, and previous experience as a clinical nurse specialist.
