About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our Faculty of Health, Wellness and Life Sciences as a Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Nursing. As a key member of our academic team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of nursing and healthcare education in Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning materials for our Children's nursing curriculum
  • Contribute to the design and evaluation of our nursing programmes, ensuring they meet the needs of our students and the healthcare sector
  • Teach across the entire nursing portfolio, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the Future Nurse Standards for registration
  • Develop and implement innovative curriculum, teaching, learning, and assessment strategies
  • Engage in scholarly and research-related activity, contributing to the advancement of children's nursing education
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver interprofessional education, promoting co-production and partnership working
  • Hold a Postgraduate degree in a related subject area or equivalent, and be a current registrant with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

Requirements

  • Significant teaching and practice experience in children's nursing, with a strong track record of innovative curriculum development and delivery
  • Knowledge of contemporary theories and concepts that underpin children's nursing education
  • Experience in healthcare leadership, medicines management, clinical skills, simulation, and practice-based education
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners, promoting co-production and partnership working
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and external partners
