About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual with a real passion for childcare and a desire to work with children to fulfill their greatest potential. As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner/Senior, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the staff team, implementing high standards of quality practices, and establishing daily routines that encourage independence for the children.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Direct and support the staff team as agreed with the Manager and implement high standards of quality practices within the nursery.
  2. To establish daily routines that encourage independence for the children in line with best practice.
  3. To implement EYFS and any other legal and statutory frameworks.
  4. To comply with safeguarding policies, procedures, and the staff code of conduct.
  5. To undertake any duties set by the management team that will assist in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
  6. To support the aims and objectives of the nursery and to achieve a high standard of education and care for children from 3 months to 5 years.
  7. Work in partnership with Parent/Carers and staff to ensure a high standard of care and education.
  8. To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and children/colleague wellbeing.
  9. To ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately in line with policy.
  10. Be responsible for implementing and monitoring systems of observation to enable children's progress and achievements to be regularly and effectively assessed and recorded.
  11. To assist with staff development and training.
Essentials
  1. Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in childcare.
  2. Good communication skills and proficiency in the written and spoken English language.
  3. Extensive knowledge of EYFS and act in accordance with current legal and statutory frameworks, policies, and procedures.
