We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist (Band 7) to join our team as a Manager. As a senior member of our diagnostic laboratory team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Biomedical Scientists and providing technical leadership for the department.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day activities of the laboratory team and take responsibility for the standard of work and the quality of the results produced.
- Provide technical leadership and contribute to the quality management of the section allocated to you.
- Train and mentor Healthcare Scientist staff and act as a mentor for all laboratory staff.
- Take on some of the duties of the Laboratory Manager in their absence, as required.
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Biomedical Scientist with a strong background in diagnostic laboratory work and a specialist qualification in Transfusion/Transplantation Science. You will have a proven track record of managing teams and providing technical leadership, as well as experience of training and mentoring staff.
You will be a registered Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have a Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience. You will also have a management qualification or evidence of management training and experience.
