We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Team Lead to join our team at our Exeter store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining store standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience
    • Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and support team members with continued shop floor training.
    • Support the management team to deliver product training, ensuring the team is fully versed in all our product features and benefits.
    • Support others to create an inspiring and engaging atmosphere, encouraging others to build relationships with our loyal and new customer base and Finisterre community.
    • Use your best judgment in all customer service matters, making appropriate decisions where necessary with a strong customer focus.
  • Commercial
    • Motivate and influence the team to deliver daily targets and KPIs under your leadership.
    • Demonstrate and encourage others to maximize sales potential, using our multi-channel offering effectively.
    • Assist in the analysis of sales data, contribute to the weekly trade feedback, and share commercial ideas that will positively impact trade.
    • Run the store efficiently and manage the shop floor effectively in the absence of management team.
  • Operations
    • Responsible for the opening and closure of the store, ensuring all store assets and the site are fully secured.
    • Accurately follow cash management procedures and ensure all cash handling is documented and signed for.
    • Assist with frequent health and safety compliance tests and checklists, ensuring all health and safety policies are adhered to.
    • Ensure the correct procedures are being used for processing any stock movement in or out of store.
  • People
    • Be a positive and respectful role model, always communicating positively regarding the store, management, and company strategies.
    • Assist management with all store training, providing feedback and making suggestions to help support the development of the team.
    • Create a positive and open relationship with the management team and feedback any needs or concerns from team members.
    • Build relationships and communicate with the appropriate people in our headquarters.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a customer-focused environment.
  • A strong understanding of exceptional customer service.
  • Good experience in working towards targets and KPIs.
  • Good knowledge of retail operations and procedures.
  • You share our passion for the outdoors and our brand values. You care about our planet and want to share your passion for protecting it with others.
  • You like to lead by example, motivating and supporting others.
  • You are a people person, building positive relationships with both customers and your retail team.
  • You pay attention to detail, take pride in delivering tasks accurately and to a high standard.
