About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our growing Healthcare team in our Manchester office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end cost management services on major healthcare projects and nationally significant programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of cost management services on new and exciting healthcare projects and programmes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Utilize our bespoke cost management tools and apps to optimize cost performance at every stage of projects.
  • Collaborate with leading design teams, sector specialists, and tier one main contractors to manage design to budget.
  • Analyze and test budgets using our Benchmarking app, leveraging a reliable pool of national data.
  • Improve collaboration with designers and highlight changes between design versions using CostX and our cost planning app.
  • Inform clients of future cost trends by harnessing the analytical capabilities of our Market Rates App, capturing, analyzing, and storing live national data at a component level.
  • Advise clients on procurement and contract strategies, ensuring optimal cost outcomes.
  • Deliver procurement strategies utilizing our eTender platform, producing financial reports and comparing tenders efficiently and effectively.
  • Effectively manage post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and valuations using our Cost Control App.
  • Present monthly post-contract cost control reports to clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications
  • Minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering cost management services in healthcare or the life sciences sector.
  • Full membership or working towards RICS (MRICS), ACostE, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Practical knowledge of NEC forms of contract would be beneficial.
