Job Overview
University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Medicine Support Specialist to join their Nuclear Medicine department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to provide support to Clinical Scientists with varied and routine tasks, working in a friendly multi-disciplinary team environment. The post holder will participate in the supervision of trainee technical staff, provide expert knowledge in Nuclear Medicine, and liaise with the multi-disciplinary team as required.

Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the day-to-day supervision of trainee technical staff, providing expert knowledge in Nuclear Medicine, and undertaking other duties assigned by the Head of Nuclear Medicine Physics. They will also assist in the amendment and writing of protocols and workflows used in imaging procedures and data processing.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include participating in providing physics support to a high-quality Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine Service, using complex imaging equipment, and ensuring all procedures are carried out according to written procedures and guidelines. The post holder will also prepare radioactive phantoms for quality control testing of equipment and process nuclear medicine images and non-diagnostic tests for reporting.

Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
