CONSULTANT in PAEDIATRICS

Community and Acute General Responsibilities

Salary £96,963 - £128,841

plus Distant Island Allowance £1,279

plus up to £8,000 relocation expenses

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Paediatrics to join our team in Western Isles Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and confidence in a supportive environment, while enjoying a unique work-life balance in one of Scotland's most beautiful and remote locations.

As a Consultant in Paediatrics, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care to children and young people, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our healthcare services and participate in educational and research activities.

We are willing to consider applications from candidates who are on the GMC Specialist Register, with License to Practice, or who are eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the date of interview. We are also open to considering applications for a Job Share.

NHS Terms and Conditions of the New Consultant Grade (Scotland) 2004 apply. The post is for 10 (8DCC+2 SPAs) PAs per week plus up to a maximum of 2 EPAs per week and an 8% availability allowance subject to an agreed job plan. The on call rota is 1:2.
