**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced French language moderator to join our team at Pearson. As a moderator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our International GCSE French examinations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Review and assess centre-assessed work in accordance with our agreed assessment criteria and procedures.
  • Undertake sampling procedures to ensure the quality and consistency of centre-assessed work.
  • Directly assess school-based components in the subject where centres opt not to make initial assessments.

**Requirements**

  • One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, relevant to the qualification and subject.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification as a teacher.

**Competencies**

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.

**Additional Information**

  • The moderation period typically takes place between May and July.
  • A fee will be paid for attending standardisation, in addition to the moderation fee.
