Cummins Inc. is a global leader in power generation and industrial engineering, and we're looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineering student to join our team in Darlington. As a key member of our Industrial Engineering business unit, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in manufacturing processes, working with a diverse team of innovators and problem-solvers.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply LEAN tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvements in manufacturing processes.
  • Plan, design, and implement integrated manufacturing and assembly processes, managing projects from start to finish.
  • Compile and present data on Key Performance Indicators, facilitating discussions with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement process improvements within the Assembly Process.
  • Participate in the design and layout of new and existing workstations to enhance efficiency and accommodate new tooling and products.
  • Review and develop assembly workstation documentation, including assembly graphics using CREO/CAD.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a keen willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft applications and Minitab.
  • Experience with CREO/CAD is a plus, but not required.
