About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Manufacturing Engineering student to join our team in Darlington, specializing in Manufacturing for our Industrial Engineering business unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply LEAN tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvements across the Manufacturing process
  • Plan, design, purchase, and implement integrated manufacturing and assembly processes, managing projects to successful conclusions
  • Compile and present data on Key Performance Indicators, chair meetings to discuss required details
  • Work as part of a team implementing process improvements within the Assembly Process
  • Participate in the design/layout of new and existing workstations to improve efficiency and accommodate new tooling and products
  • Review/develop assembly workstation documentation, including assembly graphics using CREO/CAD

Requirements

  • We are looking for candidates studying towards a degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Systems/Controls Engineering or similar
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, and a keen willingness to learn
  • Good level of IT skills, including Microsoft applications, Minitab experience beneficial
  • Experience with CREO/CAD beneficial, although not essential
