Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in Barnsley. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work as a non-medical prescriber, prescribing medication as an independent/supplementary prescriber within one's scope of competency.
  • Provide advice and support to other clinicians, acting as a source of expertise in CAMHS community care provision.
  • Prescribe for the patient's mental health needs and manage drug-related complications within their own sphere of competence.
  • Work in close collaboration with medical personnel regarding prescribing protocols, policies, and clinical guidelines.
  • Contribute to and work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, implementing protocols and clinical guidelines.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health or Registered Nurse Learning Disability.

  • Recognised qualification in non-medical prescribing.
  • Supplementary Prescriber.
  • Independent Prescriber.
  • A current driving license and access to a car during the working day is essential.
