Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in a non-medical prescribing role. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and support to other clinicians as a source of expertise
  • Prescribe for the patient's mental health needs and manage drug-related complications within their own sphere of competence
  • Promote the health needs of clients with complex issues and provide interventions for these needs
  • Work in close collaboration with medical personnel regarding prescribing protocols and policies
  • Work as an independent non-medical prescriber within designated areas, taking responsibility for the clinical assessment of the patient, establishing a diagnosis, and the clinical management required
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team and contribute to the development of alternative ways of working through the introduction of non-medical prescribing. The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing as a non-medical prescriber in accordance with the Trust's non-medical prescribing policy and protocols.

Person Specification

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with good communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a current driving license and access to a car during the working day. They will also have experience of working as a non-medical prescriber and in a senior role in care of children and young people with mental health needs.
