Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our CAMHS team as a Non Medical Prescribing role. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and support to other clinicians as a source of expertise
  • Prescribe for the patient's mental health needs and the management of drug-related complications within their own sphere of competence
  • Promote the health needs of clients with complex issues and provide interventions for these needs
  • Promote clinical excellence by complying with agreed Trust and statutory policies and clinical guidance
  • Work in close collaboration with medical personnel regarding prescribing protocols, policies, and clinical management plans for clients
About the Role

The post holder will work across the localities supporting an agreed caseload. They will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs, working closely with other healthcare professionals to achieve this goal.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health or Registered Nurse Learning Disability
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Recognised qualification in non-medical prescribing
  • Supplementary Prescriber
  • Independent Prescriber
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing, with experience of working as a non-medical prescriber. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
