Job Title: Engineering Maintenance Supervisor

Howdens Joinery is recruiting an Engineering Maintenance Supervisor for the Engineering team at our production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling maintenance and engineering activities to ensure asset performance, reliability, and quality are guaranteed and improved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and lead the implementation of world-class maintenance methods.
  • Lead Route Cause Analysis for reliability and quality improvement.
  • Coordinate complex fault finding and escalate additional support requirements where required.
  • Develop PM work orders and schedules for assets in CMMS.
  • Develop calibration standards for critical assets.
  • Responsible for improving maintenance and asset KPIs as defined by the maintenance manager.
  • Lead critical spares analysis for assets as allocated by the maintenance manager.
  • Plan and allocate work for the maintenance team and ensure work is completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure maintenance interventions on critical assets are bought off.
  • Ensure man hours are recorded for maintenance work.
  • Undertake 1:2:1s with team members to identify training needs and develop behaviors aligned to Howdens mission statement and culture.
  • Coordinate and undertake equipment risk assessments and SOPs.
  • Lead the use of dynamic risk assessments within the maintenance team.
  • Deputise for the maintenance manager out of hours to ensure planned and unplanned activities are conducted safely.
  • Identify and implement risk reduction on equipment.
  • Ensure statutory maintenance work orders are completed on time and feedback in CMMS.
  • Manage and coordinate contractor activities through PTWs.
Requirements:
  • CIEH Level 3 Health & Safety.
  • NEBOSH general Certificate (preferred).
  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
