About the Role

As an Academic Mentor for Secondary School Students, you will be working with a dedicated team to provide personalized support and guidance to students in an alternative provision secondary school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans and behaviour management strategies to ensure student success.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons, promoting social skills and self-esteem.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to inform future planning.
Requirements

We are seeking an individual with a genuine passion for supporting young people and improving educational outcomes. Previous experience as an LSA is preferred but not essential. Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
