Construction Moderator

Pearson is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Moderator to join our team in ensuring the quality and consistency of our BTEC Tech Awards in Construction.
About the RoleThe Principal Moderator will be responsible for maintaining the standards of the internally assessed - externally moderated component, ensuring it aligns with the unit specification and assessment criteria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Pearson Set Assignment, attending the Question Paper Evaluation Committee meeting (QPEC) and producing a final draft.
- Ensure the Construction and practice component covers Carpentry & Joinery and Brickwork, with a focus on Carpentry & Joinery due to high registrations.
- Present construction-related drawings using a CAD or equivalent drafting package.
- Available to attend digital meetings for a minimum of 10-13 non-consecutive day-long events.
- Hold a teaching qualification and have a minimum of one full academic year of teaching experience in the relevant subject area/sector within the last 8 years.
The successful candidate should have experience in both Carpentry & Joinery and Brickwork, with a focus on Carpentry & Joinery.
Additional Information- Available to attend digital meetings for a minimum of 10-13 non-consecutive day-long events.
