About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team of specialists at Warwickshire County Council. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will play a vital role in providing quality procurement support and guidance to officers who need to put new contracts in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support on a range of tenders for Social Care and Health, Children and Young People, and other service areas.
  • Lead on low-level procurements using Invitations to Quote.
  • Provide support as required by commissioners, operational staff, and contract management.
  • Help update guidance and procurement templates to account for the new Provider Selection Regime and upcoming Procurement Act.
  • Assist commissioners with understanding the requirements of the existing procurement regulations, the new Provider Selection Regime, and the upcoming Procurement Act.
  • Assist with the management of the In-Tend on-line tendering portal and deliver training as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall delivery of the Procurement (People) team projects and targets.
Requirements

To be successful, you must have the ability to work independently and apply your own initiative. You must be able to work under pressure, including meeting deadlines, dealing with conflicting demands, and managing relationships.
